What This Means (2025 FDD)
The 2025 Dermani Medspa Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) outlines several procedures related to client information but does not explicitly detail specific client information disclosure requirements.
Section F of Item 23, titled "Service Procedures," mentions several steps involving client interaction and documentation, including "Client Service Procedures," "How to Check the Status of Client's Account," "Procedure Consent Forms / Intake Forms," "Skin Assessment, Consultation and History," "Injectables Consultation and Assessment," "Before and After Pictures," "Uploading Photos," "Documentation Protocols," and "Injectables Documentation." These suggest that Dermani Medspa practices collect and maintain client information as part of their service delivery.
Item 23 also references Exhibit M, the "Franchisee Compliance Certification," which includes a questionnaire to ensure franchisees understand their obligations and have received all necessary information. Additionally, the FDD mentions the importance of protecting confidential information, as members with access to Dermani Medspa's confidential information, knowledge, trade secrets, or know-how must not divulge or use it for any purpose other than operating the franchised businesses. This suggests that client information is considered confidential and must be protected.
While the FDD highlights the importance of client data collection, documentation, and confidentiality, it lacks explicit details on specific disclosure requirements. A prospective franchisee should seek clarification from Dermani Medspa regarding what specific client information disclosure requirements exist, including any legal or regulatory obligations related to privacy, data protection, or client rights to access or correct their information.
