What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, Delta Hotels By Marriott franchisees must utilize the brand's designated reservation system. This system plays a crucial role in various hotel operations. Specifically, it assists with handling reservations, streamlining the check-in process for guests, and accurately posting charges to guest accounts.
Beyond these core functions, the reservation system also supports accounts receivable management, ensuring that the hotel can effectively track and manage outstanding payments. It aids in the night audit process, which involves reconciling daily transactions and preparing financial reports. The system also facilitates the check-out process, making it more efficient for both guests and hotel staff. Furthermore, it assists with housekeeping management and maintaining a comprehensive guest history, allowing for personalized service and targeted marketing efforts.
In conjunction with the reservation system, Delta Hotels By Marriott also requires the use of a yield management system. This web-based system provides forecasting tools and inventory recommendations to optimize guestroom occupancy and revenue. Both systems interface with the hotel's Property Management System (PMS), creating a cohesive and integrated approach to hotel management. The initial costs for these systems are included in the PMS system costs, while ongoing expenses are covered by the Program Services Contribution.
