What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Delta Hotels By Marriott's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee requires services beyond those already provided, they must make a formal request in writing to Marriott International. Furthermore, for Delta Hotels By Marriott to perform these extra services, Marriott must specifically agree to the request.
In addition to the written request and agreement, the FDD states that any additional costs or fees associated with these extra services must be agreed upon in writing by both Delta Hotels By Marriott and the franchisee. This ensures transparency and mutual understanding regarding the financial implications of the additional services.
This requirement protects both Delta Hotels By Marriott and the franchisee. Delta Hotels By Marriott is not obligated to provide services outside the scope of the original agreement unless they consent in writing. The franchisee is protected by ensuring that they are fully aware of and agree to any additional costs before the services are rendered. This process is typical in franchising, where changes to the standard service package require mutual consent and documentation to avoid disputes.
