What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Del Taco reserves the right to periodically reinspect the facilities and products of any approved supplier. If a supplier fails to continue meeting Del Taco's current criteria, Del Taco can revoke its approval. This ensures that all suppliers consistently meet the brand's standards.
For a prospective Del Taco franchisee, this means that even after a supplier is initially approved, there's no guarantee of continued approval. Del Taco can change its standards and specifications, and suppliers must adapt to maintain their approved status. This ongoing evaluation helps Del Taco maintain quality and consistency across all its franchise locations.
This clause protects Del Taco's brand integrity by allowing them to enforce quality control and adapt to changing market conditions. However, it also places a responsibility on franchisees to stay informed about approved suppliers and any changes in Del Taco's requirements. Franchisees should maintain open communication with Del Taco and their suppliers to ensure compliance and avoid potential disruptions in their supply chain.
