What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are no restrictions regarding who a franchisee may serve. Del Taco restaurants are generally required to be open to the public 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with the exception of Christmas. Any changes to these standard operating hours must receive explicit written approval from Del Taco.
This policy ensures that Del Taco restaurants are accessible to all members of the public without discrimination. By maintaining consistent and extensive operating hours, Del Taco aims to maximize customer convenience and brand visibility.
For prospective franchisees, this open-service policy means they must be prepared to accommodate a diverse customer base and maintain operations for extended hours. While the standard is 24/7, franchisees should confirm the process for requesting modified hours in writing, should they deem it necessary for their specific location. This unrestricted service policy is fairly standard in the quick-service restaurant industry, as brands aim to serve as many customers as possible.
