What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must keep the restaurant open for the hours and days that Del Taco specifies in the manuals or approves in writing. This means Del Taco has the authority to set the operating hours and days for its franchise locations.
For a prospective franchisee, this indicates that Del Taco could require restaurants to be open on specific holidays, including Christmas, if they choose to do so. The specific requirements would be outlined in the Del Taco manuals, which franchisees must follow. Franchisees need to be prepared to operate according to these mandated hours and days to maintain compliance with the franchise agreement.
It is important for potential franchisees to review the Del Taco manuals carefully and discuss holiday operating hour expectations with the franchisor. Understanding these requirements is crucial for planning staffing, managing operational costs, and ensuring compliance with Del Taco's standards. This also affects the franchisee's ability to plan for personal time off during holidays.
