What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Del Taco Franchise Disclosure Document, Section 5.1 of the Franchise Agreement includes requirements for the buyer to keep the locations in good condition and in conformity with the "System," as defined in the agreement. Additionally, the buyer is required to make any improvements and alterations that Del Taco determines are necessary.
This means that as a Del Taco franchisee, you must maintain the physical appearance and operational standards of your restaurant to align with Del Taco's brand standards. This could involve regular cleaning, repairs, and updates to equipment and décor.
Furthermore, Del Taco has the authority to mandate specific improvements or alterations to your location. These could be related to changes in branding, new equipment requirements, or updates to the restaurant layout. Failure to comply with these requirements could potentially lead to a breach of the Franchise Agreement.
