How often will BAMS generate a settlement of gift card transactions for Del Taco franchisees?

According to the 2025 Del Taco FDD, BAMS (Banc of America Merchant Services) will generate a settlement of gift card transactions once each fiscal week. BAMS will calculate the amount each Del Taco franchisee owes for gift card sales during that fiscal week, as well as the amount due to each franchisee for gift card redemptions during the same period. The net settlement for each franchisee will be an ACH credit or debit that accounts for all card sales and redemptions for that specific fiscal week.

This weekly settlement process ensures that funds are regularly transferred between Del Taco franchisees and BAMS, maintaining a consistent flow of money related to gift card transactions. Franchisees need to ensure their designated bank accounts are adequately funded to cover any ACH debits for gift card sales and settlement fees. If an ACH debit transaction is dishonored due to insufficient funds or other reasons, BAMS will notify Del Taco and attempt to initiate follow-up ACH transactions. The new transfer amount will include the returned item amount plus a $20 penalty per returned item. Franchisees must maintain sufficient funds in their accounts to avoid these penalties and ensure uninterrupted participation in the gift card program.
