What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees who develop their own advertising materials must submit them to Del Taco for written approval before use. Del Taco has 15 days to provide written approval or disapproval after receiving the materials.
If a Del Taco franchisee does not receive written approval within this 15-day period, the franchisee must consider the advertising materials disapproved. The franchisee is then prohibited from using the advertising or promotional materials. This requirement extends to all forms of advertising, including websites and other online content.
This stipulation ensures that all advertising aligns with Del Taco's brand standards and marketing strategies. It is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand consistency and protect the overall image of the franchise system. Franchisees should factor this review period into their marketing timelines to avoid delays in their promotional efforts.
