What is the 'License Fee' for the Del Taco software and documentation used at each licensed restaurant?

According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Licensee must pay a one-time 'License Fee' to Del Taco for the use of the software and documentation for each licensed restaurant. This fee is paid within five days after the opening date of each licensed restaurant, and the specific amount is detailed on Exhibit A of the agreement.

If a Licensee wants to acquire licenses for additional restaurants, they will need to add appendices to the agreement to incorporate these additional locations. Subsequently, the Licensee is required to pay a License Fee to Del Taco for each additional license acquired. Del Taco retains the right to increase the License Fee, but they must provide the Licensee with 30 days' prior written notice before doing so.

The License Fee and Support Services Fees are due simultaneously with the execution of the agreement. Appendices to the agreement will specify the exact License Fees and Support Services Fees for all licensed restaurants during the initial service period. After this initial period, the Licensee is required to pay these fees within 30 days of receiving an invoice, which will be sent at least 30 days before the start of a new service period. If a licensed restaurant is added to the agreement, the Licensee must pay the License Fee and Support Services Fee to Del Taco for that restaurant, prorated for the remaining months in the service period, within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
