    1. Provide a copy of the standard construction package, including plans and specifications, site criteria, and sample site plans. We will also provide you a copy of our specifications for the furniture, fixtures, furnishings, kitchen display systems, equipment, signs and all other property that we may specify for use in the Restaurant. What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to adapt the standard construction package plans and specifications at their own expense. Del Taco provides a copy of the standard construction package, including plans and specifications, site criteria, and sample site plans. They also provide specifications for furniture, fixtures, furnishings, kitchen display systems, equipment, signs, and other property specified for use in the restaurant.

However, the franchisee is responsible for adapting these plans and specifications to fit the specific location they have selected. This adaptation must be done at the franchisee's own expense. This means that while Del Taco provides the initial construction package, the franchisee will bear the financial burden of modifying it to suit their chosen site.

This requirement is typical in the franchise industry, as locations vary and standard plans often need adjustments to comply with local building codes, site conditions, and other factors. Prospective Del Taco franchisees should factor in these adaptation costs when budgeting for the initial investment. Understanding the scope of potential modifications and associated expenses is crucial for making informed financial decisions before signing the franchise agreement.
