What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay an annual maintenance/subscription fee for the Ceridian Time Clock. The current annual fee is $577.50. This fee is paid to Del Taco. In addition to this annual fee, franchisees must also purchase the Ceridian Time Clock (wall mounted) from Del Taco, which currently costs $2,997.50. Franchisees also pay a monthly fee of $109.75.
These fees cover the franchisee's use of the Ceridian Platform, which Del Taco designates the franchisee as an affiliate under the MSA (Master Service Agreement). The franchisee must also enter into agreements and order forms prescribed by Ceridian and approved by Del Taco for using the platform. The franchisee must comply with the agreement, the franchise agreement, the platform usage agreement, and all rules and regulations designated by Ceridian.
It is important to note that Del Taco makes no warranties related to Ceridian's performance or the operation of the platform. This means the franchisee bears the risk of any issues with the time clock or platform performance. Prospective franchisees should consider these ongoing technology costs and the lack of warranties when evaluating the Del Taco franchise opportunity.
