What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Del Taco's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee receives notification that their restaurant's technology does not meet Del Taco's standards, they must immediately stop using the non-compliant technology. Furthermore, Del Taco has the right to remove the non-compliant technology from the restaurant.
This requirement underscores Del Taco's control over the technology used within its franchise system. It ensures uniformity and compatibility across all locations, which is crucial for maintaining brand standards and operational efficiency. The franchisee bears the responsibility of ensuring their technology aligns with Del Taco's specifications.
For a prospective franchisee, this means they need to be prepared to promptly address any technology-related issues and potentially invest in upgrades or replacements to meet Del Taco's requirements.
