Is there a limit to the number of times a Degree Wellness franchise can be renewed?

According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not specify a limit to the number of times a franchise agreement can be renewed. The FDD outlines the conditions under which a franchisee may be eligible for renewal. At least 6 months before the expiration of the franchise, Degree Wellness will notify the franchisee whether they appear eligible to renew the Franchise or provide a notice of deficiencies.

To be eligible for renewal, a franchisee must meet several conditions. These include maintaining possession of the premises, refurbishing and redecorating the premises to meet current standards, or obtaining suitable substitute premises. Franchisees must also correct any operational deficiencies identified by Degree Wellness in a written notice prior to the expiration of the current term. Additionally, franchisees must sign the then-current franchise agreement and any related documents, pay a renewal fee (as detailed in Item 6), and sign a general release of all claims against Degree Wellness and its affiliates.

It is important to note that the new franchise agreement presented at the time of renewal may contain materially different terms and conditions than the original agreement. The franchisee's right to renew is contingent upon their acceptance of these new terms. Prospective franchisees should consider that while there may be no explicit limit on renewals, each renewal is subject to meeting the franchisor's conditions and agreeing to the terms of the then-current franchise agreement, which could change significantly over time.
