Review and approve or disapprove your advertising, marketing, and promotional materials, vendors and activities (Franchise Agreement – Section 11.2).

You may develop, at your cost, advertising and promotional materials for your own use, but may not use them until after we have approved them in writing. You must submit to us for our approval samples of all advertising and promotional materials not prepared or previously approved by us that you wish to use. We will not unreasonably withhold our approval. If we do not approve any materials submitted to us within 15 days of receiving them, they will be deemed not approved.

We require all Degree Wellness Studios to contribute 1% of their gross revenues to the Fund. All Degree Wellness Studio will be required to contribute to the Fund on the same basis as you, respectively, unless prohibited by law. Your required Fund contribution may be increased to

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Degree Wellness does review and approve advertising, marketing, and promotional materials. Specifically, Degree Wellness retains the right to review and approve or disapprove a franchisee's advertising, marketing, and promotional materials, vendors, and activities.

For advertising and promotional materials that Degree Wellness has not prepared or previously approved, franchisees must submit samples for approval before use. Degree Wellness will not unreasonably withhold approval and has 15 days to approve or disapprove the submitted materials. If no response is given within 15 days, the materials are deemed not approved.

Degree Wellness also administers a brand development fund where all Degree Wellness Studios are required to contribute 1% of their gross revenues. This contribution may increase up to 2% with 60 days' prior written notice. Degree Wellness has sole discretion over the creative concepts, materials, endorsements, and media used by the fund, as well as the geographic and market allocation of the fund. The fund can be used for various advertising and marketing activities, including television, radio, internet, and social media programs.

The Degree Wellness training program also includes a section on marketing, covering topics such as promoting Degree Wellness in the franchisee's area, the marketing playbook, guidelines for using Degree Wellness marks, and obtaining advertising approval.
