What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must pay a renewal fee of $10,000 when signing the renewal Franchise Agreement. This fee is due at the same time as the agreement is signed.
In addition to the renewal fee, Degree Wellness requires that the franchisee and their Principal Owners execute general releases, in a form satisfactory to Degree Wellness, of any and all claims against Degree Wellness and its affiliates, as well as their respective owners, officers, directors, employees, and agents. This means the franchisee must waive any legal claims against Degree Wellness to be eligible for renewal.
It's important to note that the terms of the renewal Franchise Agreement may differ significantly from the original agreement, potentially including increased Continuing Franchise Fees and Fund contributions. The franchisee's right to renew is contingent upon accepting these new terms, so a prospective franchisee should carefully consider the potential for increased costs and obligations when deciding whether to renew their franchise agreement.
