What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a General Manager is prohibited from having any interest in or business relationship with any business competitor of the franchise. This restriction is in place to protect Degree Wellness's confidential information and to encourage a free exchange of ideas among franchisees.
This means that a General Manager cannot own, invest in, partner with, be a director, officer, employee, manager, consultant, representative, or agent of any business that offers products or services similar to those offered at Degree Wellness Studio franchises. This restriction is designed to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure the General Manager's full dedication to the success of the Degree Wellness franchise.
To further enforce this, Degree Wellness requires each General Manager to sign a written agreement to maintain the confidentiality of Degree Wellness's information, abide by non-solicitation and non-disparagement covenants, and adhere to the non-compete agreements. This agreement is in a form approved by Degree Wellness and a copy of the signed agreement must be provided to Degree Wellness. This agreement is subject to review by an attorney to ensure compliance with local laws and rules.
