What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any deposits previously paid by the franchisee will be credited against the initial franchise fee. The initial franchise fee is $49,500. However, if the franchisee is signing the agreement pursuant to purchasing a development agreement, the Development Fee paid pursuant to that agreement will satisfy the initial franchise fee.
This means that if a prospective Degree Wellness franchisee has already paid a deposit, that amount will be deducted from the $49,500 initial franchise fee. This is a benefit to the franchisee, as it reduces the upfront cost of starting the franchise.
It is important for prospective franchisees to carefully review Exhibit 1 of the Franchise Agreement to understand how their Development Fee, if applicable, interacts with the initial franchise fee. Franchisees should also keep accurate records of any deposits paid to ensure they receive proper credit.
