What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a franchisee, you are required to obtain written approval from Degree Wellness regarding the final Management Agreement before you sign it with the PC (Professional Corporation). Degree Wellness may offer assistance in preparing this agreement; however, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure the agreement complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in the state where the Degree Wellness studio will be located.
This requirement ensures that Degree Wellness maintains control over the operational standards and legal compliance of its franchised businesses. The Management Agreement dictates the terms under which you, as the franchisee, provide management and administrative services to the PC, which owns and operates the studio. This agreement must align with the Degree Wellness system and all relevant legal requirements.
Failing to obtain Degree Wellness's written approval before signing the Management Agreement could result in a breach of the Franchise Agreement. This could potentially lead to penalties or termination of your franchise. Therefore, it is crucial to work closely with Degree Wellness and legal counsel to ensure the Management Agreement meets all necessary criteria before finalizing it with the PC.
