What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee can obtain one additional term of 10 years through renewal or extension of the franchise agreement. The original franchise term is 10 years, and the renewal term matches this length.
To be eligible for renewal, the franchisee must comply with all terms of the Franchise Agreement and any other agreements with Degree Wellness. At least six months before the franchise expiration, Degree Wellness will notify the franchisee about their eligibility for renewal or provide a notice of deficiencies.
The franchisee must also maintain possession of the premises, refurbish and redecorate as required, correct any operational deficiencies, sign the then-current franchise agreement and ancillary documents, pay a renewal fee (as detailed in Item 6), and sign a general release of claims against Degree Wellness and its affiliates. The new franchise agreement may contain materially different terms and conditions, and the renewal is contingent upon accepting these new terms.
