What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training fee of $8,000 covers the cost of travel for corporate personnel, typically the Studio Opener, for the franchisee's first studio only. This fee is associated with the Studio Opening training, which is the second component of the initial training program. Degree Wellness provides one individual, a Corporate Trainer, for on-site training services at the studio for up to 5 days, offering opening support, software, technical, and sales training.
Any additional training, including training for subsequent studios, is provided at a rate of $300 per day plus travel expenses. The scheduling of the initial training is at Degree Wellness's discretion and depends on their availability. However, initial training is conducted as needed, in conjunction with the franchisee's development, opening schedule, and needs, but no less than twice per year.
Prospective franchisees should note that while the initial $8,000 fee covers the Corporate Trainer's travel costs for the first studio, they will be responsible for covering the costs of any additional training days at the rate of $300 per day, as well as travel expenses for training related to any subsequent studios. This could potentially add a significant expense, especially for franchisees planning to open multiple Degree Wellness locations.
