What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after Degree Wellness furnishes a franchisee with plans and specifications for the studio's layout, equipment, fixtures, decorations, and signs, the franchisee must use an architect designated or approved by Degree Wellness to modify these plans. This modification is necessary to ensure compliance with all local ordinances, building codes, permit requirements, and lease requirements applicable to the premises.

Before construction begins, the franchisee must submit the final construction plans and specifications to Degree Wellness for approval. The franchisee is then obligated to construct the Degree Wellness studio in accordance with these approved plans and specifications. This process ensures that each studio adheres to Degree Wellness's standards while also meeting local regulatory requirements.

This requirement is important for maintaining brand consistency and ensuring that all Degree Wellness studios meet safety and legal standards. Franchisees should factor in the time and cost associated with modifying the plans and obtaining approvals when planning their studio build-out. Failing to adhere to these guidelines could result in delays, additional expenses, or non-compliance issues.
