What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Degree Wellness's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's compliance with the terms of the Franchise Agreement is a requirement for renewal. Specifically, to renew the franchise for an additional term of 10 years, the franchisee must comply with all the terms of the Franchise Agreement and any other agreements between the franchisee and Degree Wellness.
Furthermore, at least 6 months before the expiration of the franchise, Degree Wellness will notify the franchisee whether they appear eligible to renew the franchise or provide a notice of deficiencies. To be eligible for renewal, the franchisee must maintain possession of the premises, refurbish and redecorate in compliance with Degree Wellness's current requirements, correct any operational deficiencies identified by Degree Wellness, sign the then-current franchise agreement and ancillary documents, pay a renewal fee (as detailed in Item 6), and sign a general release of claims against Degree Wellness and its affiliates.
