What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Degree Wellness franchise agreement does not explicitly state that the franchisee recognizes having had substantial contact with Degree Wellness's employees. The document outlines various aspects of the franchise relationship, including the franchisee's responsibilities for their own employees.
Specifically, the FDD states that the franchisee is the sole and independent owner of their franchised business and is responsible for their acts and omissions, as well as those of their employees. Franchisees must identify themselves as independent owners and franchisees of Degree Wellness. They are also responsible for securing and maintaining all required licenses and permits, operating in compliance with all applicable laws, and ensuring their employees maintain confidentiality and provide courteous service.
While the FDD emphasizes the franchisee's independence and responsibility for their own staff, it does not include any acknowledgement by the franchisee of prior contact with Degree Wellness employees. A prospective franchisee may want to inquire about any recommended or required training programs that may involve interaction with Degree Wellness employees during the onboarding process.
