What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza Franchise Disclosure Document, Crowne Plaza may discontinue providing Group Owner Benefits to a franchisee under certain circumstances. These benefits, which include products, services, pricing, or other advantages provided to Group Members, can be stopped without prior notice if the franchisee ceases to be a Group Member, if the Group Owner Agreement is no longer in effect, or at the request of the Group Owner.
This means that a Crowne Plaza franchisee's access to these benefits is contingent upon their continued membership in the Group, the ongoing validity of the Group Owner Agreement, and the Group Owner's discretion. If any of these conditions are not met, Crowne Plaza has the right to terminate the provision of Group Owner Benefits.
Prospective franchisees should understand that these Group Owner Benefits are not guaranteed for the entire term of the franchise agreement. It is important to inquire about the specific criteria for maintaining Group Membership, the terms and stability of the Group Owner Agreement, and the potential reasons why the Group Owner might request the cessation of these benefits. Understanding these factors is crucial for assessing the long-term value and stability of the franchise opportunity.
