What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, IHG has the right to deny a licensee access to its infrastructure under specific conditions related to hardware and software.
Specifically, IHG may immediately disable, disconnect, or deny access to its infrastructure without prior notice if the licensee uses (i) any Hardware or Software specified as prohibited in the Minimum Configuration, and (ii) any Hardware containing prohibited Software. This gives IHG broad authority to enforce its technology standards and protect its systems.
Additionally, IHG can immediately prevent the use of hardware and software if it reasonably believes that a security incident, such as an unauthorized disclosure of Guest Data, could occur, has occurred, or is occurring. This clause emphasizes IHG's focus on data security and its willingness to act swiftly to mitigate potential breaches.
These stipulations are included in the IHG Concerto Supplemental Terms, highlighting the importance of adhering to IHG's technology requirements and security protocols to maintain access to IHG's infrastructure.
