What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the third-party license agreement for the Property Management System (PMS) software is prepared after a prospective franchisee completes the Oracle New Account Setup Form. This form is included as Exhibit G-7 in the FDD.

The PMS agreement covers ongoing maintenance and support for the software, with the PMS provider billing the franchisee annually for these services. The PMS provider is limited to increasing the maintenance and support fee no more than once per calendar year.

In addition to the PMS software support fees, franchisees must also budget for support fees for other property-level systems that interface with the Opera PMS system. These include telecommunications, electronic door locking, keycard systems, and specialized sales software. Hardware and software maintenance fees can vary depending on the number of rooms at the hotel. Franchisees should carefully review Exhibit G-7 and consider all associated technology costs to accurately forecast their operating expenses.
