What services will FreedomPay provide to Crowne Plaza hotels under the Participation Agreement?

FreedomPay will provide services in accordance with the terms of this Participation Agreement, including the FreedomPay Pass-Through Terms set forth on Attachment 1, which Hotel expressly agrees to and accepts.
Hotel acknowledges that FreedomPay, Inc. is the provider of the payment gateway services provided to Hotel under this Participation Agreement between IHG and Hotel. Hotel agrees to the following pass-through terms required by FreedomPay:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza FDD, FreedomPay will provide payment gateway services to hotels under the Participation Agreement between IHG and the hotel. These services are delivered according to the terms outlined in the Participation Agreement, including the FreedomPay Pass-Through Terms detailed in Attachment 1. The hotel acknowledges that FreedomPay is the service provider, while IHG manages onboarding, payments, and support. The hotel accesses a hosted environment configured specifically for IHG and cannot customize it for individual needs. All service requests and payments are facilitated through IHG.
As part of the agreement, the Crowne Plaza hotel is responsible for maintaining all hardware, software, and data connectivity required to connect to FreedomPay's system. The hotel must comply with the PIM (presumably Payment Information Management) and acknowledge it via Attachment 3 to ensure secure switching. Failure to comply with the PIM may result in IHG performing the obligations and charging the hotel for these services. Additionally, non-compliance with the PIM can lead to the hotel losing certain benefits described within the PIM.
FreedomPay does not offer any express or implied warranties regarding third-party services it enables, such as fraud protection, 3-D Secure, DCC, or loyalty programs. The services are designed to facilitate the sale of the hotel's products, and FreedomPay is not responsible for the quality, quantity, or other aspects of the hotel's products or services. The Crowne Plaza hotel grants FreedomPay a perpetual, nonexclusive license to store, copy, and use hotel data to fulfill its obligations under the Participation Agreement, comply with applicable laws, and use and disclose Hotel Aggregated Data for its business purposes. IHG has full access to the transaction and data processed by FreedomPay on behalf of the hotel, including names, services purchased, usage, billings, payment status, and payment card data.
