Who will provide or arrange for training and implementation support for the PMS at a Crowne Plaza?

According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza FDD, SCH will provide or arrange for training and implementation support for the Property Management System (PMS). This support is detailed in the Master Technology Services Agreement. SCH has agreements with service providers for the maintenance of the PMS.

Crowne Plaza franchisees will be billed by either SCH or the service provider for these services. Further details on expenses related to travel and on-site support can be found in Item 7 of the FDD. The PMS itself offers a computerized front desk operation designed to enhance the speed and productivity of front desk tasks, such as check-in, check-out, night audits, housekeeping, and generating management reports.

In addition to SCH's support, Oracle America, Inc., the supplier of the Opera PMS software, provides on-site training and certification to the franchisee's staff. This training occurs after staff members complete e-learning modules and before the PMS is fully installed and activated. The specific staff members who require training and certification will vary depending on the size of the Crowne Plaza hotel. The costs associated with this training and certification are outlined in Item 5 of the FDD, which covers the estimated costs for equipment, installation, software, and training for both the PMS and the Reservation System.
