What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'New Group Owner Benefits' refer to new products or services that the Group Owner and the franchisor may provide to Group Members, including franchisees, as part of the Group Owner program. These benefits may arise from modifications to the Group Owner Agreement.
Crowne Plaza franchisees authorize the franchisor to modify the services provided under their agreement, including related fees and terms, to the extent necessary to provide these 'New Group Owner Benefits.' The franchisor will provide notice of these modifications to the franchisee.
Importantly, these modifications to implement 'New Group Owner Benefits' do not give rise to any termination right for the franchisee under specific sections of the agreement. This means that a franchisee cannot terminate their agreement solely because of changes made to incorporate these new benefits. This clause ensures Crowne Plaza can adapt its offerings without triggering franchisee exits.
