What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza FDD, a Crowne Plaza hotel has a maximum of 60 days after a transaction to submit it to FreedomPay for settlement. If the hotel submits the transaction after this 60-day period, FreedomPay will attempt to settle the transaction if the data is available. However, FreedomPay assumes no liability if it cannot settle transactions submitted past this deadline.
This requirement means that Crowne Plaza franchisees must have efficient systems in place to ensure timely submission of transaction data to FreedomPay. Delays in submission could potentially lead to a loss of revenue if FreedomPay is unable to settle the transactions. Franchisees should, therefore, prioritize accurate and prompt transaction reporting to avoid any financial repercussions.
While FreedomPay will attempt to settle transactions submitted after the 60-day limit if the data is available, Crowne Plaza franchisees should not rely on this. Consistent adherence to the 60-day submission window is crucial for maintaining smooth financial operations and avoiding potential disputes or losses. Franchisees should train staff and implement procedures to ensure compliance with this requirement.
