What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza FDD, the license offering includes a Master Technology Services Schedule, referred to as the MTSS, as Attachment "D" to the License Agreement. This schedule governs a franchisee's access to and communication with the Reservation System.
The MTSS outlines the franchisee's access to hardware, software, and services provided by IHG or its affiliates through agreements with external service providers. Franchisees are responsible for paying for and using these resources according to the terms specified in the License, the Master Technology Schedule itself, the Enabling Agreements, and any applicable Participation Agreement or Order Form.
Prior to opening a Crowne Plaza hotel, franchisees must also enter into a PMS license with an IHG-approved vendor for the software, installation, training, use, and maintenance of the PMS. Additionally, a contract with AT&T for the FastConnect SD-WAN service is required, as well as a Microsoft Participation Agreement detailing obligations under the provided software license. These agreements ensure that the Crowne Plaza hotels operate with standardized and supported technology systems.
