What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, AT&T may disclose certain information about the Eligible Participant (the franchisee) to the Customer (IHG) upon request. This information includes the Eligible Participant's name, the services purchased from AT&T, monthly or annual usage of those services, total billings, and payment status. AT&T is not allowed to disclose Customer information to the Eligible Participant without the Customer's consent.
This disclosure is part of the Managed Fortinet Participation Agreement between AT&T and the Crowne Plaza franchisee, which is entered into pursuant to a master agreement between AT&T and IHG. The terms of this participation agreement are considered AT&T, Customer, and Eligible Participant's Information under the Customer Agreement.
For a prospective Crowne Plaza franchisee, this means that IHG will have access to data regarding the franchisee's usage and payment for AT&T services. This could be used by IHG for various purposes, such as monitoring compliance with brand standards or assessing the franchisee's financial performance. The franchisee should be aware of this information sharing and its potential implications for their relationship with the franchisor.
