What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, "Final Plans," also known as 100% Construction Documents, encompass the final versions of construction documents used for permitting. These include associated specifications, covering architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, landscape, and site plans with parking. The plans also feature all floorplans, exterior and interior elevations, enlarged plans, building sections, millwork detail, and other specialty consultant design documents, containing such detail and additional information as IHG may request.

For a prospective Crowne Plaza franchisee, this means that the construction documents must be comprehensive and detailed, covering all aspects of the building's design and specifications. It is important to note that these plans must be submitted to IHG for review and approval before being submitted to the local building authority. Franchisees should be prepared to provide any additional details or information that IHG may request during the review process.

The Final Plans submitted to IHG must conform to the then-prevailing Standards, including the construction standards set forth in the Standards. They must also address all revisions required by IHG's review and approval of the Preliminary Plans. This ensures that the construction of the Crowne Plaza location aligns with the brand's standards and any specific requirements identified during the preliminary plan review. Franchisees should carefully review and incorporate all feedback from IHG to avoid delays or issues during the construction phase.
