What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza Franchise Disclosure Document, the hotel is responsible for all taxes resulting from the Next-Gen Payments Solution. Specifically, all taxes stemming from the provision of the Next-Gen Payments Solution under the agreement are the hotel's responsibility.

If IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) is required to pay any of these taxes, penalties, or interest related to them, IHG will invoice the hotel for those amounts. The Crowne Plaza hotel is then obligated to pay the invoiced amount within thirty days of the invoice date.

This means that as a Crowne Plaza franchisee, you must budget for and handle all taxes associated with the Next-Gen Payments Solution. Failure to pay these taxes could lead to IHG invoicing you for the amounts they paid, and potential late payment penalties if not paid within the specified timeframe.
