What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Crowne Plaza Franchise Disclosure Document, after completing the hotel building foundation through ground-level, which Crowne Plaza defines as "Ground Break", the Licensee must provide photo documentation to IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) within one day.

Additionally, within 30 days after the Ground Break, the Licensee is required to submit for IHG's review and approval any and all signage, shop drawings, guest room FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and Public Area FF&E plans and associated specifications. These plans and specifications, outlined in the submittal guidelines (FF&E Specs), must be designed and prepared by a licensed or accredited design professional with a commercial building design background.

These requirements ensure that the construction and design align with Crowne Plaza's brand standards and that IHG maintains oversight over critical aspects of the hotel's development. The franchisee needs to adhere to these timelines and documentation requirements to avoid delays and ensure compliance with the franchise agreement.
