Answer from 2025 FDD Document

IHG reserves the right in its sole discretion to identify the number of each of the Hardware items required for operations at the Hotel.

IHG requires that Licensee, at Licensee's cost, purchase broadband Internet access at the Hotel in order to establish the primary WAN link.

Licensee agrees that only WAN Hardware that meets IHG's specifications and configurations will be installed or connected in any way to the reservation system.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Crowne Plaza FDD does not specify a required quantity of Access Points. However, it does state that IHG reserves the right to identify the number of each of the Hardware items required for operations at the Hotel.

The FDD also mentions that the licensee must purchase broadband Internet access at the Hotel to establish the primary WAN link, with IHG's WAN link serving as a backup. The licensee is responsible for the costs associated with installing any Hardware or Software not part of the Minimum Configuration.

Furthermore, the licensee must ensure that only WAN Hardware meeting IHG's specifications and configurations is installed or connected to the reservation system. The licensee is also responsible for providing a suitable location for the WAN Hardware installation, including electrical connections and any necessary cable installation. It is important for a prospective franchisee to communicate with the franchisor to understand the hardware requirements and associated costs.
