What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Crowne Plaza's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee receives settlement funds by wire transfer, Crowne Plaza has the right to charge a wire transfer fee for each wire. This means that franchisees should factor in potential wire transfer fees when evaluating their overall costs and revenue.
This fee is in addition to other fees that Crowne Plaza may charge, such as Servicers Fees, Third Party Based Fees, and Chargebacks, which are deducted from settlements. Franchisees are responsible for paying these fees and any adjustments made to reflect increases or new Third Party Based Fees. These adjustments become effective as soon as the Card Organization or Third Party implements the change, following notice from Crowne Plaza.
Crowne Plaza may also require franchisees to pay all outstanding fees by electronic funds transfer, direct account debit, ACH, or other similar technology. If Crowne Plaza requires electronic payments, the franchisee must maintain sufficient funds in a segregated bank account to cover all fees and payments owed to Crowne Plaza and its affiliates. Franchisees should be aware of these payment requirements and ensure they have the necessary funds available to avoid any late payment penalties or breaches of the license agreement.
