Training classes will be scheduled in accordance with the needs of new franchisees. We anticipate holding training classes in advance of the opening of the franchisee's location, doing so at our corporate office and retail locations in California

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Crown Gold Exchange Franchise Disclosure Document, training classes are typically held at the corporate office and retail locations in California. The FDD also indicates that training can occur at "Our Location, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA or Your Location or Virtual".
The training program includes classroom and on-the-job training. Classroom training covers topics such as industry overview, business model, brand establishment, operations, management, marketing, and sales. On-the-job training is provided for operations, management, marketing, sales, and grand opening launch.
Crown Gold Exchange provides the franchisee with the Onboarding Checklist, which contains links organized by section for all applicable written procedures, training videos, learning checks referred to as Knowledge Reviews (automatically graded with correct answers provided, with a structure in place requiring successful completion via a minimum score threshold), and a shadowing/coaching checklist and approval process all required to successfully and fully complete the necessary training. Additional instructional material will be provided consisting of additional similar training (additional procedures, additional video training, additional checklists, etc.) for "higher-level" functions required of the franchisee and/or the individual acting as the owner/operator and/or manager of the franchisee.
Franchisees must attend training, and up to two people can attend without incurring a training fee. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering the travel and living expenses for their employees or managers who attend the training. A new general manager will be charged a fee of $250 per day to attend the training program.
