What This Means (2024 FDD)

Yes, according to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the System Standards do include requirements for technology. The System Standards encompass mandatory procedures, requirements, and standards determined by Crown Gold Franchising. These standards may include requirements for technology, such as computers, computer peripheral equipment, smartphones, point-of-sale systems, back-office systems, information management systems, security systems, video monitors, other software, backup and archiving systems, communications systems (including email, audio, and video systems), payment acceptance systems, and internet access, as well as upgrades, supplements, and modifications thereto.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that Crown Gold Exchange has the ability to set mandatory technology requirements that the franchisee must adhere to. This could include specific hardware, software, or systems that the franchisee is required to use in their business operations. The franchisee is also responsible for keeping these technologies updated and secure.

Furthermore, the franchisee is obligated to provide Crown Gold Franchising with unlimited access to their point-of-sale system and other software systems used in the business, by any means designated by Crown Gold Franchising. This level of access allows Crown Gold Exchange to monitor and manage the franchisee's operations and data. Franchisees must also enter into any subscription and support agreements that Crown Gold Franchising may require and upgrade, update, or replace any software from time to time as Crown Gold Franchising may require.
