What rights does the franchisee have within the Development Area for Crown Gold Exchange businesses?

According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee who enters into a Multi-Unit Development Agreement (MUDA) gains specific rights within a designated Development Area. The franchisee has exclusive rights to develop, open, or operate Crown Gold Exchange businesses within the Development Area during the term of the agreement. This exclusivity ensures that no other franchisees or company-owned stores can operate within that defined geographic region, providing a protected market for the franchisee's investment.

However, this right is contingent upon the franchisee fulfilling the development schedule outlined in the MUDA. Failure to meet the agreed-upon timeline for opening new Crown Gold Exchange locations within the Development Area can result in termination of the MUDA by Crown Gold Franchising. Additionally, the franchisee must maintain compliance with brand standards and remain in good standing with all other agreements with Crown Gold Exchange to retain these development rights.

The MUDA specifies that it does not automatically grant the franchisee the right to open and operate a Crown Gold Exchange business. Each location requires a separate franchise agreement. The franchisee must execute Crown Gold Exchange's current standard franchise agreement for each additional location no later than three business days after securing the location. This ensures that each store operates under the then-current terms and conditions set by Crown Gold Exchange.
