What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crown Gold Exchange franchisees must offer all products and services that Crown Gold Franchising prescribes in the manual or in writing. Franchisees can only sell to retail customers at the approved location, unless the franchisor approves or requires otherwise. Franchisees must also honor all valid gift cards and other prepaid systems, regardless of which Crown Gold Exchange business issued them.

Crown Gold Exchange may require franchisees to offer products and services at specific prices determined by Crown Gold Franchising if Crown Gold Franchising is promoting such products and services on a national, regional, or local market basis, for the duration of the promotion, as long as it is permitted by law.

These stipulations mean that a Crown Gold Exchange franchisee has limited autonomy over the products and services they offer, as well as their pricing and sales methods. Franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's mandates to maintain consistency across the brand and participate in promotional activities. This could impact a franchisee's ability to cater to local market demands or implement their own business strategies.
