What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, as part of constructing, remodeling, or decorating the premises, Crown Gold Exchange will provide a set of their standard building plans and specifications, standard recommended floor plans, and specifications for required décor. However, Crown Gold Exchange is not obligated to assist franchisees in conforming the premises of their site to local ordinances and building codes or obtaining any required permits, making this the franchisee's responsibility.

Crown Gold Exchange will review and advise franchisees regarding potential locations that they submit. If a franchisee signs a Multi-Unit Development Agreement, Crown Gold Exchange will approve the location of future sites and territories for those sites, and their then-current standards for sites and territories will apply. However, Crown Gold Exchange is not obligated to further assist franchisees in locating a site or negotiating the purchase or lease of the site.

If the site is not already known and approved by Crown Gold Exchange when the franchise agreement is signed, then Crown Gold Exchange and the franchisee will specify in the franchise agreement the area in which the franchisee must select a site. The site is subject to Crown Gold Exchange's approval, and to obtain this approval, the franchisee must provide all required information and documents about the site. The factors Crown Gold Exchange considers in approving sites are general location and neighborhood, competition, trade area demographics, traffic patterns, parking, size, physical characteristics of existing buildings, and lease terms. Crown Gold Exchange has 30 days to approve or disapprove a proposed site after the franchisee submits all required documents and information.
