What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crown Gold Franchising has the authority to modify the Marks used within the franchise system. Specifically, Crown Gold Franchising can add, modify, or even discontinue any Marks that franchisees use.
If Crown Gold Franchising decides to make such changes to the Marks, franchisees must comply with these changes within a reasonable timeframe. This compliance is at the franchisee's own expense, meaning they will bear the costs associated with updating signage, marketing materials, or any other items that display the altered Marks.
This clause in the franchise agreement ensures that Crown Gold Franchising maintains control over its brand identity and can adapt its Marks as needed for marketing or legal reasons. For a prospective franchisee, this means being prepared to invest in updates to comply with any changes to the Marks implemented by Crown Gold Franchising during the term of their franchise agreement.
