What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, 'Input' encompasses a wide array of items necessary for establishing and operating a Crown Gold Exchange business. These include goods, services, supplies, fixtures, equipment, inventory, computer hardware and software, real estate, and comparable items. This definition is important for prospective franchisees as it broadly defines the scope of items they may need to procure to run their business.

Crown Gold Exchange franchisees are required to acquire all Inputs in accordance with the System Standards, and Crown Gold Franchising has the authority to mandate that franchisees purchase or lease Inputs from specific sources such as Crown Gold Franchising itself, its designees, Required Vendors, or Approved Vendors. This control allows Crown Gold Franchising to maintain consistency and quality across all franchise locations. However, franchisees can request approval to purchase Inputs from alternate vendors if they desire, subject to Crown Gold Franchising's evaluation and approval process.

The franchisor may also negotiate prices and terms with vendors on behalf of the entire franchise system and may receive rebates or other consideration from these vendors based on franchisee purchases. Crown Gold Franchising has the option to collect payments from franchisees on behalf of vendors, potentially imposing a markup for administering this payment program, or to implement a centralized purchasing system or purchasing cooperative. Franchisees are obligated to participate in any purchasing cooperative established by Crown Gold Franchising, adhering to the terms and conditions set by the franchisor.
