What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Crown Gold Exchange Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee loses possession of their business location, Crown Gold Franchising has the right to terminate the franchise agreement without providing an opportunity for the franchisee to correct the situation. This means the franchisee would immediately lose the right to operate their Crown Gold Exchange business.

Upon termination of the franchise agreement, the franchisee must fulfill several obligations. They are required to pay any outstanding amounts owed to Crown Gold Franchising, return all copies of the operations manual, confidential information, and any other materials related to the business. Additionally, the franchisee must cease using Crown Gold Exchange's trademarks and notify relevant entities (telephone, internet, etc.) to transfer any associated numbers, addresses, and listings to Crown Gold Franchising or a new franchisee.

Within 30 days of termination, the franchisee is responsible for de-identifying the location, removing all Crown Gold Exchange signage and trade dress at their own expense. If the franchisee fails to do so, Crown Gold Franchising has the right to enter the location and remove the branding themselves, without being held liable for trespass or any damages caused during the process. This ensures that the location no longer represents the Crown Gold Exchange brand after the franchise agreement is terminated.
