What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Crown Gold Exchange franchisees are required to submit various financial reports and other information to Crown Gold Franchising. This includes monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets, as well as annual financial statements.
In addition to these regular financial reports, Crown Gold Exchange franchisees must also submit "such other financial statements, budgets, forecasts, reports, records, copies of contracts, documents related to litigation, tax returns, copies of governmental permits, and other documents and information related to the Business as specified in the Manual or that Crown Gold Franchising may reasonably request." This means that while budgets and forecasts are not explicitly required on a regular basis, Crown Gold Franchising has the right to request them from franchisees as needed.
This requirement allows Crown Gold Franchising to monitor the financial health and performance of its franchisees and to ensure compliance with the franchise agreement and system standards. It also enables Crown Gold Franchising to gather data for financial performance representations in its Franchise Disclosure Document. For a prospective franchisee, this means being prepared to provide not only regular financial reports but also additional financial information like budgets and forecasts if requested by Crown Gold Exchange.
