What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Crown Gold Exchange franchise agreement outlines several financial obligations for franchisees, but it does not explicitly detail the franchisee's responsibilities regarding tax payments. However, the agreement does state that the franchisee must comply with all laws and regulations.

While the FDD does not specifically mention tax payments, franchisees are required to report monthly Gross Sales to Crown Gold Franchising by the 5th day of the following month. Crown Gold Franchising also retains the right to remotely access the franchisee's point-of-sale system to calculate Gross Sales. Franchisees must also pay a royalty fee and any other amounts owed to Crown Gold Franchising by pre-authorized bank draft or in such other manner as Crown Gold Franchising may require, following the franchisor's payment instructions.

Given the absence of explicit details regarding tax obligations in the FDD, prospective Crown Gold Exchange franchisees should directly inquire with the franchisor about their specific tax-related responsibilities, including what taxes the franchisee is responsible for, how those taxes should be reported, and whether the franchisor provides any assistance or guidance on tax compliance.
