What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Crown Gold Exchange's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are explicitly prohibited from copying or reproducing any confidential information. The franchise agreement states that franchisees must adhere to all security procedures for maintaining confidentiality and can only disclose confidential information to their employees to the extent necessary for business operations.
This restriction is a standard practice in franchising to protect the franchisor's proprietary information and maintain a competitive advantage. Confidential information is owned by Crown Gold Exchange, which includes customer data generated or obtained by the franchisee. This obligation extends beyond the term of the franchise agreement, meaning that even after the agreement expires or is terminated, the franchisee must continue to protect the confidentiality of the information.
The franchise agreement emphasizes the franchisee's responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of all such information during and after the term of the agreement. Franchisees must promptly report any unauthorized disclosure or use of confidential information. This provision ensures that Crown Gold Exchange's sensitive business data and trade secrets remain protected, preventing potential misuse or dissemination to competitors.
