What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Crown Gold Exchange franchisee's ability to disclose Confidential Information to its employees is explicitly limited. The franchisee can only disclose such information to employees to the extent necessary for the operation of the business. This means franchisees must exercise caution and discretion when sharing sensitive business data with their staff.
This restriction is in place to protect Crown Gold Exchange's proprietary information and maintain a competitive advantage. Confidential Information includes, but is not limited to, customer data and other non-public data generated by the business, which is exclusively owned by Crown Gold Franchising. Franchisees must ensure their employees understand the confidential nature of the information and adhere to strict confidentiality protocols.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all such information during and after the term of the Franchise Agreement. They must also promptly report any unauthorized disclosure or use of Confidential Information. These obligations extend indefinitely beyond the termination or expiration of the agreement, reinforcing the importance of safeguarding Crown Gold Exchange's Confidential Information.
